Safe to say I'm pretty happy with the results, I'm 3 for 3

They have always put on a good match, this one was no exception.

People were just PC and let the guy with the gayest grips win
Na. Good shooting mate. To beat all the race guns with a standard or production gun like you have is a bloody good effort

I found the shoot a little more technical than most i have attended but really enjoyed it.
Shot 196 Alphas out of 219 round count but I was slow. However my gong collection is growing. Quake city match in a few weeks. Looking forward to it.

I arsed up on the second stage.

As I went to brace the fall my gun broke the 180.

DQ and I knew it. Felt bloody stupid to say the least.

Time for new shoes me thinks.

I arsed up there last year and at the N Islands. Could have easily swept myself or broke the 180 but fortunately didnt. Whenever I arsed up in the bush (which is a lot) I always looked after the rifle first for some reason. Plenty of practice maybe. Just bad luck mate.
I'll see ya at the South Islands with new shoes?

    Yes. Most definitely

    The ones I've currently got.

Well they'll be getting light fluid and a match.

I'm going back there this weekend to re shoot half of it. With my hunting boots just in case

Are they leaving stages up? The 2 long stages were my favourite. 5 and 11. The one with the bridge was a lot of fun.

You also landed on your backside last year in the snow, just incase you had forgotten.

    Sportshoes.com

Anything made for trail running will see you right. I'm a big fan of the Innov8 Mudclaws but I have Reeboks trail runner atm, although the new version of them looks shit.

If you elevated your knuckles from the ground you would see I pointed that out.

That was a fun shoot. I was pleased to finish with "Not last" especially after all of the mag changes in the 1911...

    Be honest.

How many Jams did you have with the 1911 ?

It was amazing, used Tanfoglio Witness 1911 .45, mix of magazines (i only had 3 x 8 rounders, rest were wild bunch 7 round mags).
New PMC Bronze ammo from Delta Mike (Friday afternoon pickup and a good look at the shop - Wow).
Not a single Jam. If only I could shoot straighter and quicker. And learn when to give up on the stupid pink steels.
Now I find that I'm picking up a Tanfoglio P19 from a retiring club member and getting more involved with IPSC as well as Cowboy action.
