Hi, I've noticed a few percussion cap and ball revolvers on TM of late, are these B cat? If they are not, then what about modern replicas of such?

Yep
Boom, cough,cough,cough
The Colts, Remingtons, and others that you have seen on TM are all genuine antiques and may be owned without any licence. They may not be fired, nor carried beyond your dwelling except for a lawful purpose (eg. gun show, selling to a dealer, etc). Modern replicas of these revolvers are subject to all the usual requirements of a B or C endorsement. The moment any antique firearm is fired (muzzle loading rifle or shotgun) then it is subject to a Firearms Licence. The 'antique' license exemption only applies if the item is kept as a wall hanger.
Pretty sure pre 1850 originals dont need endorsement
