Thread: Distance required for an IR torch and pricing?

I've been looking into getting an IR model as I've been getting a lot of requests. I came across the Brinyte T28 IR which has a lever to switch between white/850/940 on the go. Reviews suggest a max range of 300m usable and eye shine at 400m on IR LEDs. It also is one of these adjustable focusing models.

I could only sell this for $300+ for the kit

- Torch
- pressure switch
- 21700 5000mAh battery with usb charge port
- adjustable picatinny rail mount for changing the tilt

Is $300 too much? If so, I'll have to look into building my own.

There's the Nitecore CI7 for $225 + $35 battery + $29 pressure switch, so I guess it's not too bad, but Nitecore is a popular brand here. I can imagine it could be harder to sell the Brinyte model since very few would have heard of them.
